Le Café Curieux |
For those of you who are adventurous in looking for foodie hot spots, hidden restaurant gems and secret bars, you might try and check this one out. Located at the red light district of Makati, obscurely located the foot of the Bel Air Soho Bldg. at Baclajos St. (Near Polaris St.), this quaint and somewhat quirky restaurant and bar lies. Le Café Curieux serves authentic French cuisine and has been to have been around in France since 1921, brought to the Philippines by the grandchildren of the owner.

Le Café Curieux is a rather small and intimate restaurant but mind you, this place packs one hell of a kick! Those who have dined here have never left with a frown as they often dub this as "A Little Slice Of France" in Makati. Minus the Parisian backstreets and the Eiffel Tower, the food here is utterly, pure Français. It features a cozy al fresco dining area and a small garden that is perfect for those romantic dinners or intimate luncheons. All braced and laced with the distinct flavors of France. At night, Le Café Curieux features a bar, offering several live acts every once in a while. The French wines of Le Café Curieux are also must-tries as they are as authentic as they can get. This place has been a secret favorite spot for expats to hang out, dine and chill.
